Monitor to Brit -- Don't Go Changin'

TMZ has learned that the monitor who has supervised Britney's visits with her kids told the court the interactions at home are nothing abnormal -- with a little exception. Seems the monitor has noticed Britney goes to her room a lot to change clothes!

In another development, in open court yesterday, Mark Vincent Kaplan, K-Fed's lawyer, said something very interesting -- after it was officially revealed that Spears has passed two drug tests, Kaplan responded by saying that although the drugs tests were important, they were not the center of gravity in this case. The upshot -- Kaplan seems to be saying Britney's core problems may be psychologically or biologically rooted.

Britney Spears was a no-show for the second day in a row, canceling dancer auditions for her upcoming tour and new video.
TMZ was on scene at Millennium Dance Studio in North Hollywood today, where Britney had scheduled auditions of male and female dancers to take place between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Brit canceled -- via text message at 11:00 AM -- leaving dancers saying "Merde!" -- but in English. Some of the dancers, while disappointed, would have waited even longer for her.

Several dancers told TMZ that Britney rescheduled for a third attempt on Monday. Luckily for us, several of the terpsichoreans decided to show us a few of their moves, and reminded us to "Leave Britney alone!"

Britney Spears will temporarily lose custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James to ex-husband Kevin Federline, according to FOXNews.

The ruling giving K-Fed temporary custody of his and Brit’s kids is said to come from Los Angeles Family Court later Monday.

Earlier in the day, Britney was dropped by her management, Jeff Kwatinetz of The Firm. He issued a statement saying, “It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears.” The Firm is reportedly is sick of Britney’s “recent erratic behavior.”

Earlier Monday morning, Britney’s lawyer Laura Wasser bailed on her.

TMZ has learned that reports of an FBI investigation into a plot to kill Kevin Ferderline are completely untrue -- however, an LAPD investigation was conducted in the past.

According to LAPD, the department opened an investigation into a threat on Federline's life nearly two months ago, but the case was closed due to insufficient evidence.

TMZ also spoke with the L.A. spokesperson for the FBI, who blasted reports claiming that the the FBI ever confirmed anything about a K-Fed investigation saying, "The information on the Internet on these reports is not accurate. It did not come from the FBI at all."

Britney's Manager Says "Gimme Less"

Britney's manager has jumped ship, and the reason sounds strangely similar to her former lawyer's woes over Spears.

Manager Jeff Kwatinetz issued a statement saying, "It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears." Noting Kwatinetz repped Brit for a grand total of one month, he continued, "We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record, but current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job."

So what are the "circumstances?" Maybe they're similar to what we hear about Laura Wasser going South on Spears. We're told Wasser questioned Brit's judgment but simply could not control her.

Spears, 25, has returned to Los Angeles to rejoin her sons, Jayden, Sean Preston, who are respectively turning 1 and 2 this week, after a disappointing comeback performance Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. Earlier this year, she spent a month in rehab.

Lohan, 21, is in her third rehab program, this one in Utah, following her DUI arrest last month, for which she was sentenced to a day in jail. In a statement, she said she was addicted to alcohol and drugs and had relapsed.

Fergie, whose own time in rehab was for a crystal meth addiction, says that Spears and Lohan should ignore the media attention and focus on their problems.

"If somebody is going to change, they have to want to do it themselves," she says. "I think it is really unfair to them when they are trying to get help. We're all watching as a nation and commenting day by day on their rehabilitation. It's not fair. You're supposed to have a sanctuary, a place where you can go and not be pressured every day."

According to the police report, officers "noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle." After several sobriety tests, she was arrested for DUI.

TMZ was in court this morning when L.A. Superior County Judge Michael L. Stern gave busboy Raymundo Ortega the green light to proceed with his civil lawsuit against LiLo. Ortega claims Lohan was driving intoxicated while trying to avoid paparazzi on Robertson Blvd., when her black Mercedes smashed into his van in 2005.

Ortega's attorney, Robert G. Klein, says he spoke to several potential witnesses in the case, including an employee of the Ivy who allegedly served booze to a then 19-year-old Lindsay. CHP's investigation concluded that Lohan was not drunk, and found Ortega at fault for making an illegal U-turn. "This is a bogus claim. Mr. Ortega is 100% at fault and Lindsay shouldn't have to pay anything," said Lohan's attorney, David J. Ozeran.

Ortega is seeking compensation for his pain and suffering -- in excess of $200,000, and other damages and medical bills. A jury trial is set to start April 7 of next year.

West was upset because he says he wanted to perform his new single, "Stronger," on the show's main stage, but was relegated to a "suite" performance by the network, even though Justin Timberlake, who also performed in a suite on Sunday's show, ended up "on the big stage" to close the broadcast. Hold up, hater!

A source connected to the awards show tells TMZ that Kanye was offered the main stage, but opted for the suite, claiming he wanted to "feel the excitement and energy" of a smaller venue, rather than people just sitting there at tables. In addition, Kanye's "Stronger" performance was pre-taped Friday night -- to give it a "night" look -- as the actual show went live Sunday night at 6:00 PM, while there was still daylight in Vegas. Our sources say Kanye "loved" his act and expressed that to the MTV execs who were all there. We ain't sayin' he's a golddigger...

For their part, MTV says it "has a long and collaborative relationship with Kanye and we hope and look forward to continuing that meaningful relationship."

The producers of "Friday Night Lights" -- NBC's low-rated, but critically-acclaimed football drama -- are apparently set to offer the former "View" hostess a guest spot on the show, according to Michael Ausiello from TV Guide. Perhaps the show thinks less sexy people is the key to better ratings.

Executive producer Jason Katims tells Ausiello, "Rosie's a big fan of 'Friday Night Lights,' as we know from 'The View,' and we heard she was interested in being on the show. Usually, we don't do any stunt casting, but we have a character coming up -- six or seven episodes into the new season -- of a female soccer coach who is really angry about all of the school's resources going to football. It's a really funny character and I think she'd be perfect for it."
